hi! I’m lauren

i am a self-taught artist from the Louisville, KY area. Naturally inclined to be a “maker”, i’ve spent my adult life dabbling in creative mediums. After a multi-year hiatus on the tail end of childbirth & mid pandemic; i sought a creative outlet to re-establish my voice & sense of self. i lean heavily into “play” as a tool for creative self-expression & creating as a means of maintaining mental health.

 My main medium of focus is wood reclaimed objects that are assembled & then created into my Little Dude series. I started with textile collages in 2025 using fabric, paint, embroidery & beadwork to create abstract pieces. I also like playing w/ soft sculpture and look to further this medium in 2026/2027

The through line of my artwork is joy through play & is made cohesive with my signature color palette.  I place special focus on traditional ‘craft’ methods and believe that the application & color displays the artwork with a modern folk art lens.
